Bright lights, big city: light your bike up and help us raise awareness for the need for bright bike lights to be seen at night.
Fall is here, and many cyclists are now riding in the dark. We are pleased to partner with MEC to host I LIGHT HFX and promote safe cycling. On November 3rd, light up your bike up with everything you have! There will be prizes for the brightest cyclist on the ride. The ride will take us on a tour of the Halifax Peninsula, bells ringing, music playing, and lights shining bright. This ride is part of our outreach campaign where we will give out 400 MEC rechargeable lights to cyclists in need.
Your ticket includes:
- Registration for the ride
- 10% MEC discount card
- A free beverage after the ride
- A donation to the I Light HFX campaign
- Hot drinks & snacks prior to the ride.
- Tickets are $15 for members, and $25 for non-members. Kids under 12 ride FREE! Add $10 after October 31.
