Come get introduced to several of the amazing cycling groups in Halifax. Learn about who they are and what they are planning for the summer. Each group will only have 5 minutes, so it will be fast and furious, but there will be lots of time for discussion and questions. Join us in person or virtually. Registration recommended.

Come and listen to some of the top musical talent in Nova Scotia and from across Canada as the first ever HalifACT climate stage comes to the JUNOS and brings 4 days of free music to the front court of the Halifax Central Library from March 21-24th. From 5-7pm on Thursday and Friday and 2-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, the entertainment will be all pedal and solar powered. The Ecology Action Centre will be doing free tune-ups and a variety of organizations will be sharing information on climate! Bring your bike and help to pedal the stage with gear from Music Declares Emergency and the Halifax Bicycle Music Festival.

Dates: March 21-22 (5 – 7 pm), March 23 – 24 (2 – 5 pm)

Location: Halifax Central Library Front Court (Outside)

Details: Pedal the entertainment, fix up your bike and learn about climate.


An out-and-back 10 km ride along the Chain of Lakes Trail to get the legs moving and work out the winter rust. It will be an easy ride with a pit stop at The 5k Cafe. People are welcome to join for shorter sections of the ride. Halifax Cycles will also be bringing some eBikes for test rides!

Date: Saturday, March 23rd

Time: 2 – 4 pm

Location: Chain of Lakes Trail and The 5k Cafe

Trail Ride Details: The ride will start at the Ashburn Golf Club entrance at 2pm and go to the end of the pavement and then back to The 5k Cafe (9km). People are welcome to join the ride along the way or do a shorter ride. The ride will be unmarshalled, but there will be HCC board members to support along the way.

eBike Test Ride Details: Halifax Cycles will be bringing some eBikes to The 5k Cafe starting at 3pm.
