Help advocate for a safe, convenient, and connected cycling infrastructure for all current and future users in the HRM. HCC, as a recognized stakeholder, represents its members at meetings organized by the municipality, provides informed input on individual infrastructure projects and publishes position statements that promote cycling as an affordable and sustainable mode of mobility.

Help foster a vibrant cycling community by leading fun, safe, and welcoming rides for all skill levels. You’ll plan routes, ensure group safety, and act as a friendly representative of the Coalition to encourage more people to choose cycling for recreation and transportation.

Help expand the organization’s reach and engage the cycling community by creating compelling content for the regular newsletter, managing social media channels, and assisting with digital outreach campaigns.

Assist in the successful execution of organization events by helping with setup and tear-down, managing registration, directing attendees, and providing general logistical support to ensure smooth operations.

Help make community events bike-friendly! You will be responsible for securely parking and retrieving bikes, providing a free and safe coat-check service for bicycles, and encouraging event attendees to cycle.

Help grow and retain the organization’s membership base by assisting with membership renewals, processing new member data and analyzing membership data

Help build the Coalition’s fundraising capacity by researching grant opportunities, developing donor outreach strategies, planning fundraising campaigns, and exploring new revenue streams to support cycling advocacy and programming.
