Active Transportation Plan Review – Public Workshop

Planning the Halifax Peninsula Cycling Network. These workshops will be the first public engagement sessions as part of the Active Transportation Plan Review and will be the final formal opportunity to comment on the first peninsula north-south bicycle corridor (Crosstown Connector).

Bring your ideas on where the routes should be, how they should connect with the existing network, and what type of bike routes we should aim to develop.  This will be an interactive workshop facilitated by Dalhousie University’s Cities and Environment Unit.

There will be two opportunities to participate: Wednesday Sept. 26, 6:30 – 9pm at the Maritime Hall (Halifax Forum, 2901 Windsor Street) and Saturday, Sept. 29, 11:00am to 1:30pm at St. Andrew’s Church Gym  (6036 Coburg Road). Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Active Transportation Plan Review public engagement sessions will take place in other HRM communities starting in November.  Please send your e-mail address to activetransportation@halifax.ca to be informed of the times and locations of these meetings.
