Progress in the Park is looking for your good-quality used bikes to help get around town. Progress in the Park’s initiatives for youth aim to reduce homelessness and provide safe spaces for priority youth. The group out of Mulgrave Park is looking for bikes to get around and they need your help. If you have a good-quality used bike laying around please consider donating it to the cause. The primary demographic is 13-16 year old youth. Bikes used by your now-adult teenager would be a perfect fit.
If you have a bike to donate please contact Erica Phillips.
The Halifax Cycling Coalition and Cyclesmith are pleased to support this initiative. We will be providing resources to teach the youth to maintain their bikes. With basic bike repair skills the youth will have an affordable, convenient, and reliable way to get around town.
