The HCC has been hard at work documenting Halifax’s bike infrastructure and brainstorming a future state. Part of this initiative concerns Halifax Cycle Fix, a website which we use to track collisions and infrastructure issues. Now, we have a map of repair stands, bike garages, and other notable facilities. Check it out here. Green symbols are already in place, yellow ones are funded, purple ones are awaiting final approval, and red ones are proposed. If you see any logical spots that we’re missing, please let us know!
The next phase of this project is to map out some dream bike lanes. This will happen over the course of the winter and discuss opportunities to develop a comprehensive, connected network of safe cycling facilities throughout the urban core.
