Houston, we have a problem! Premier Houston has issued an ultimatum to HRM over the Morris Street cycleway, and Mayor Fillmore is going along with it rather than defending the city’s right to decide its own future. This is a serious challenge to local democracy and to the safety and convenience of cycling in Halifax. In this issue, we outline how you can take action with letters and social media, share details about the upcoming Critical Mass ride, introduce our new “One Question, One Minute” video project, highlight upcoming events, provide cycling tips, give an update on the Cycling Guide app, call for volunteers, and share what we’re reading and watching this month.
