It's never too cold to ride a bicycle. Gear up and celebrate winter cycling at the Halifax Cycling Coalition Frost Bike Ride. The event has a suggested donation of $10, which will help fund our advocacy efforts for the coming year. Join us at Cyclesmith prior to the event for some hot drinks, or to pick up a warm pair of gloves, before taking a tour of the Halifax Peninsula. We will stop at Cyclesmith to warm up with more hot drinks for a few minutes near the end of the ride, then ride up the street to Good Robot Brewing for a post-ride beverage.
The ride is open to all ages and it is family-friendly. The route will take approximately 45 minutes to ride, and features many of the recent and pending upgrades to Halifax's bicycle lane network. This will be a great chance to ask us what we know about the upcoming bicycle lane projects around town.
