Dear supporter of healthy communities:
The Halifax Regional Municipality and CAA Atlantic invite you to join Mayor Mike Savage and Regional Councillors for the 11th annual Mayor’s Bike Ride on Monday, September 16, 2024 (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). The Mayor’s Ride aims to promote cycling and celebrate the contributions to active transportation in the municipality by supporters of healthy and active communities (like you!).
This year’s ride begins at the Dartmouth side of the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge (30 Faulkner St, Dartmouth, NS). The route will explore Dartmouth by bike via the Wyse Road bike lanes, Dartmouth Common Greenway, Dahlia local street bikeway, Shubie Canal Greenway past Sullivan’s Pond Park and along Lake Banook. The ride will end with a reception and lunch at the Kiwanis Graham’s Grove Park.

• Ending location: Kiwanis Graham’s Grove Park with reception and lunch provided.

Tips
• Please arrive before 11:30 a.m.
• Bikes and helmets are required for the ride
• Halifax Regional Police will be providing an escort
• The route is approximately 3 kilometers
• Accessible washrooms are available at the Kiwanis Graham’s Grove Park
• Bring water for the ride

Note: Attendees are encouraged to bike or bus to the event. Parking is not available on the Halifax Harbour
Bridges property. There is some on-street parking on Lyle Street, and on surrounding streets.
