Eyram grew up in Ghana and has called Halifax home for the past three years. Riding in challenging and sometimes unsafe conditions became second nature to him early on, but that experience sparked something deeper: a desire to help people who don’t yet have the confidence to get on a bike and stay on one. He believes that better infrastructure and a stronger community can change that.

A software engineer by trade, he has a knack for bringing a technical lens to whatever he gets involved in, and cycling advocacy is no exception. His bike is his default way to get around, whether that’s grocery runs, visiting friends, or heading to events, and he’s always on the lookout for new corners of the city and trails to explore.

As Executive Director, Eyram brings both his technical skills and his personal story to the work of making Halifax a city where everyone feels welcome on two wheels.
