Here are our volunteer opportunities for November 2019!
We need 2-6 people to ride on bahelf of the Halifax Cycling Coalition in the Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 16th from approximately 5pm-8pm. Bring some friends or family members and be a part of the magical night on two wheels! Contact Meghan at firstname.lastname@example.org if your interested in riding in the parade.
We need 3-4 volunteers to help provide bike valet service and hand out free hot chocolate at the North x Night Holiday Market on Saturday, November 16th from 4pm-9pm. Check out a fun holiday market and support cycling in Halifax at the same time! Please e-mail Meghan Doucette if you are interested in volunteering at email@example.com.
We need a few volunteers to help us with our fall membership drive by putting bike tags on bikes around town! The tags are little cards with info about becoming a member of HCC that can be attached to bike handlebars via elestic bands. If you can help place tags on bikes parked around your school, workplace, or neighbourhood, contact Meghan Doucette at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are launching a new corporate HCC membership to allow businesses to show their support for cycling in Halifax. We need volunteers to help us canvass businesses around town to encourage them to sign up as a corporate member. If you are interested in this role, contact Meghan Doucette at email@example.com.
We need volunteers to support us with continuing our Hali Spokes interview series about people who ride bikes in Halifax. Volunteers would set up interviews with people who ride bikes, record and transcribe the interviews, take a photo of the interviewee with their bike, and then we would put the interview on our website! If you are interested in this role, contact Meghan Doucette at firstname.lastname@example.org.
