Winter Bike Week is coordinated by the Halifax Cycling Coalition to bring attention to the benefits of year-round cycling in Halifax. Many Haligonians choose to ride their bikes all winter long because it remains the most convenient and affordable way to travel throughout the colder months. Hear from some of your fellow community members who will share their stories about cycling in Halifax.
The PechaKucha Night is happening in partnership with PechaKucha Halifax and will follow the PechaKucha format of presentations with 20 images x 20 seconds. Presenters will share projects and ideas about cycling, mobility, and equitable access to transportation infrastructure that is safe and comfortable for people of all ages and abilities. The Seahorse bar will be open to purchase beverages.
Doors open at 6:00pm and presentations will begin at 7:00pm. The Seahorse is an accessible venue, with a ramp to enter the building. There are gendered washrooms on site. The event is pay-what-you-can and there is a suggested donation of $10.
