Why We Cycle Film Screening

Put on your coat and mittens and ride down to the Museum of Natural History for a screening of the film 'Why We Cycle'!

What better way to spend a Saturday night then at the movies? Join us on Saturday, February 15th at 7pm to close out Winter Bike Week with a screening of Why We Cycle.

About the Film

"To the Dutch, cycling is as normal as breathing. We don’t think about it, we just do it. Perhaps the fact that we don’t think about it, is the key to the bicycle’s success in this country. But because we do not give cycling a second thought, we don’t really know what the deeper needs of cyclists are. In the documentary ‘Why we cycle’ we take a ride with ordinary cyclists and specialists from a variety of disciplines. These conversations uncover some obvious, but even more hidden effects of cycling on people, on societies, and on the organization of cities."

You can view the trailer for the film by clicking here. The event is free and open to everyone.

We will be joined at the film screening event by CarShare Atlantic, who are offering a $40 credit to folks riding their bikes during Winter Bike Week! You can sign up for a membership that night. We will also be joined by VeloFix Nova Scotia, who will have their portable bike shop truck on-site.
