The Clean Leadership summer program provides students age 15-30 with environmental work experience, an enhanced appreciation of the environment and their community, and skills for life-long learning (including team-building and leadership skills, increased knowledge for future employment and/or education ventures, and the ability to give back to their community and their environment). This program is a partnership between Clean Foundation, Nova Scotia communities, employers, and youth.
Clean Leadership is helping the Halifax Cycling Coalition hire an Outreach Coordinator for the summer and we couldn’t be more excited. In this position, you will be mainly responsible for preparing communications materials, organizing events, managing the HCC membership program, and instructing the Urban Cycling 101 course. The position requires frequent evening and weekend availability. The successful candidate will be able to manage their time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision. We are committed to your professional growth and we will try to include some projects in your work that directly apply to the field you are studying.
We are looking for an energetic and inspired student who will join our team for 15 weeks from May to August. They must be between the ages of 15 and 30 and must be a returning student (that is, they have not yet completed their high school or post-secondary education). The hourly wage is $15.
