We are very pleased to announce that the door hangers for the Ecology Action Centre’s Sustainable Transportation Action Team (STAT) Commitee’s 5 sustainable transportation asks are ready to be picked up! This is a non-partisan initiative to ensure sustainable transportation is top of mind this election. We have been working with the STAT Committee over the last few months to develop the asks and the door hangers.
The 5 asks for sustainable transportation include:
- Create a National Active Transportation Strategy
- Develop a dedicated funding stream for AT infrastructure
- Prioritized passenger rail over freight rail transportation
- Establish GHG emissions analysis for new highways
- Increase proportion of zero-emissions vehicles being sold
These “reverse door-knocking” hangers are hung on the outside of your door for federal MP candidates to see when they come to your doorstep during the election campaign period.
