May 23, 2014 David Trueman News 3 Comments On Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 Johanna Dean was killed in a collision with a truck at the corner of Albro Lake Dr and Windmill Rd.Please take a moment to read her obituary. We are organizing a memorial ride and the placement of a ghost bike on Wednesday, May 28th. We will meet at the Dartmouth Sportsplex parking lot at 5pm. We will allow time for people to arrive from Halifax and other areas before we proceed along Windmill Rd to the site of the crash. Ms Dean’s family has requested that donations be made to the HCC to help advocate for cyclist safety in Halifax. We will be working with the family to find an appropriate project or campaign to honour Ms Dean’s life. We are planning a memorial ride and vigil. We will be placing a “Ghost Bike” as part of this. Johanna was a lovely person in every way and she will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure to know her.
